Treman in the Fall

On Thursday, Jen, Charles, myself, and three dogs went hiking at Treman. We had a wonderful stroll and thoroughly enjoyed the autumn color parade and icy waterfall. The dogs had a blast, running free.

The waterfall.

The view from the stairs at Treman.

This is the view from Charles and Jen's place.

Probably one of my favorite hikes of the season!

New Photography Website

One of my hobbies is taking pictures, and recently, I've had aspirations of making it something I do for a side income. I just love the beauty that is captured. Cooking, writing, and photography are my favorite means of artistic expression.

Well, the big news is two weeks ago, I did my first engagement session and next week will be my first wedding. I am so excited, and to be honest, a little nervous.

Feel free to check out my new site. It has a few pictures from the engagement session and some of my old favorites. Facebook is all I can afford, for now:

Camping Near Watkins Glen

This past weekend, I went camping with Amy, Leland, and Brenden. Tiffany and Kris came up to hang out too. It was a blast. Enjoy the pictures! :-)

Family Lovin'

Blowing up the airmatress, just like the pioneers!

Mr. Mountain Man, my neighbor.

I think he likes me! :-)

My tent with the about-to-go-flat air-mattress...I think a rock made a whole. Thank goodness Amy and Leland lent me an extra pad! :-)

Grilled veggies and veggie hot dogs. YUM!

Isn't she lovely? :-)

Tiffany trying to look nonchalant with a large cleaver.

Brenden had a chair by the fire. I got to sit in it! :-)

How sweet! Mommy and baby in the hammock! :-)

All in all, a great trip. Did I miss Nick? Yes. Can I survive in the woods without him and a large cooler of vegetables with a roaring campfire? Absolutely!

Plum Jam

This past week, I made some plum jam.

I ordered about 15 pounds of plums from my CSA and started jamming. Plum jam is one of my favorites!

As you may notice, some spilled over...

It was a mess, but TOTALLY worth it!

Pad Thai

Tonight, I made Pad Thai, accompanied by lemon cucumber from my CSA.

It was yummy. Next time I will splurge for the peanuts and beansprouts! :-)

Here's where I got the recipe:
